Email marketing is a very effective tool you should be utilizing for your business. Just look at traditional companies like Sears. They used to be known by the name Sears and Roebuck and people in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s loved the catalogs they would send to their customers. The people could order the goods they needed then use the magazine pages for toilet paper (very true).

If you do not have a great deal of information about email marketing just do a simple search in your favorite search engine and you will find more than enough info to help you get started. Email marketing is one of the most cost efficient ways you can reach your audience. They are obviously interested in your offerings or you wouldn’t have their email address.

One popular strategy for email marketing is to offer an email course on a subject closely related to your website or the products or services you offer. Publishing and distributing e-newsletters is another example of an email marketing strategy which can be highly effective. An e-newsletter is very similar to a newsletter which is printed and distributed by conventional methods such as mail delivery. The bulk of an e-newsletter should be quality content in the form of featured articles, short articles containing useful tips or product reviews. This is the email version of an ezine without 3rd party advertising.

Regardless of the method of email marketing you opt to utilize, one of the most important strategies is to evaluate the effectiveness of your email marketing on a regular basis. One thing to note is the size of your list. If your list is under 500 then tracking your results will be harder. It’s all about conversion in all forms of marketing.
