Size and Age-Affecting Websites Daily

I want to talk a little about two things that only time can fix. The size and age of your site. Why do these things matter? Because Google really likes sites with thousands of pages and they like them better if they have been on the net for more than a year or two. So we will discuss these things in two parts.

Part 1- Age…Stay online for more than 2 years and you will be off to a good start. The benefits your site will gain with age are tremendous. A key benefit is that the search engines will trust your site better, hopefully, meaning faster indexing of new content. That alone could be the difference in success or not.

Part 2- Size…O.K. now we have something we can control and make the most of. Here is where we will take everything we have learned about on page seo and then go to work writing and coding the absolute best articles we can to build our sites content with. Of course you’ll write a keyword rich title and use your header tags, but don’t forget about internal linking and meta tags.

You want to add quality unique content as often as you can. Most seo webmasters suggest at least one new post or page per day. To some of us that sounds like alot but to others it isn’t near enough. I have read some articles stating that you shouldn’t post new content within 6 hours of each other. I say that if you are posting real unique content then have at it.

If you are in this game for the long haul, then I promise you, you will get more production from 20 highly optimized posts/pages than you will from 60 articles thrown together just to be posting content. Remember we have to stand the test of time with our content so be precise and informative. If you link to other sites in your article you may want to revisit these links occasionally to make sure the sites are still active. Broken links suck and are unprofessional.

The term “Content is King” didn’t just pop up for no reason. You can have the best product on the planet but if your adcopy (content) sucks you will make no sales. Your sites content is very similar. Imagine you are selling your articles to Google and they have to meet the criteria. With the right content in the right niche you can become rich. The overall point is this…

1.Create unique informative content
2.Do step 1 very very often
3.Double check your on page seo
4.See step 2

Thanx and remember…Always strive to improve and success will follow

Definitely, the age of your website is crucial for trust and although its tough to wait, its well worth it when you continue to improve the site and let it mature.
