Finding Your Article Writing Style

Writing articles is an important aspect of any marketers online efforts. The written word is a very powerful tool in the right hands. Being able to take a string of thoughts and put them all in one place that another person can then use to learn from is truly awesome. If you think about it for a second…can you imagine not being able to share your thoughts, feelings, and knowledge through writing? I personally can not. I have discovered many different things that have helped shape and mold my mind from articles. One thing that I have noticed in my years of reading is how different authors write.

Finding your article writing style can take some people longer than others. If you are used to writing then you will have already developed an article writing style without even trying. When I started writing articles for this blog it internet marketing techniqueswould take me up to two hours to write an article that was very dry and lifeless. Just put the facts in there and hope for the best, WAS my article writing style. After writing for some time now I am much more comfortable with it. This has allowed me to write articles in a more friendly and sometimes humorous way.

Everyone writes articles with a different style since we are all very different. One style that you will see most articles discuss is to “write like you talk”. This means to write your articles just like you were talking to someone using the same terms and phrases you would use in a conversation. This can be a very effective writing style if you have a wide vocabulary and can speak properly.I would guess that most writers use this article writing style as it comes most naturally.

I use this style to write most of my articles and it works for me quite well. I like to use metaphors when I talk for some reason…you know “life is like a box of chocolates” and “articles are the blood that flows through the veins of the internet”…things like that. This works well in some articles but it can be confusing to some people especially if the english language is not their primary language. I try not to get too complicated when using metaphors or slang.

The best advice I can give anyone starting out with article writing is to keep them simple and to the point until you have more experience and knowledge. It will not take to long before you will be cranking out awesome articles that fit perfectly to who you are. It is in your best interest to try to stray from using highly technical jargon in your writing endeavors…what the heck is this guy talking about. Yeah, try to keep it simple so everyone can understand your point. Unless your writing a technical manual on motherboard schematics of course. The point is to write for your audience and their skill level.

Writing articles is a mainstay in the world of internet marketing techniques and with some time and effort you will find your article writing style. Practice makes perfect and even if it takes you two hours an article it will be worth it in the long run.

Thanx and remember…Always strive to improve and success will follow
