So you want to be a marketer? Well me too. Internet marketing is one of those things that usually makes people crazy, right before they quit. The truth is… You either spend money to make it happen or you spend time to learn all the various things you need to know to be successful. This is not an easy task if you do not have much money to spend.

If you look at the truly successful marketers they all have one thing in common, they have people working for them making things happen. If you are anything like me, (see About Me page), then you do not. What does that mean for people like us. Time and patience and due diligence. You have to stick with it until you get your break.

This can be discouraging especially if you think you can just jump in and start cranking out $10,000 a month. I personally would be very happy with $7,000 a month BEFORE TAXES. Personally I believe I will get there when I should be there. Since I am a part time marketer that started with absolutely no experience at all with anything related to the internet then I knew it would take me years to reach my goals.

Part of the problem for me is that I am a control freak that does not trust anyone else to do it right. The rest of the problem is simply a lack of disposable funds to spend on my business. However I do have time to develop the necessary skills to run a successful online business.

So what things should someone like me be concerned with learning? Well I started with html and pursued that just long enough to learn the basics then I learned about WordPress and that saved my online career as far as having a successful website went. So as soon as I decided WordPress would suit my website needs I had to start learning basic php and how to edit these blogs.

Less than 12 months into this, (part time), I have a nice looking blog that competes with over 200,000,000 other sites and I am sitting comfortably on page 1 or 2 for the term internet marketing techniques, depending on how Google feels when you do your search. I have learned a few tricks along the way that will help me in this venture forever.

So here are a few internet marketing techniques for those starting out with little or no money to spend, but time to learn and implement. Learn all you can about affiliate marketing, email marketing, search engine marketing and optimization, and most importantly ARTICLE MARKETING.

I have written several articles that share the knowledge I have gained concerning these topics and I urge you to spend some time reading them and searching Google for additional information as I think these things will help set you up for success in the long run.
