As a do-it-yourself webmaster I have found out that the tools we use to get the job done are very important. One tool I love to utilize is exactly the same tool everyone else uses as well…the video tutorial. The only problem I have with video tutorials is the amount of time I need to spend watching them to learn the skills needed to be successful.

Another part of ‘video’ tutorials that can be annoying is the lack of real video. What I am talking about are those video tutorials that only actually show the words that the narrator is speaking. The video will usually show the bullet points of the tutorial as a way of sinking them home.

Personally I do not need to see the words that I am hearing to understand the lesson I am trying to learn. One thing I have learned about marketing is that if you find a product that solves a problem then share it with the world. That is what I am happy to do today.

I have found a great tool online that only costs $15 and will convert flv files to mp3 files. This is great for me as I can now add the converted file to my mp3 player, phone, or burn a disk and listen to it in the car (my favorite choice). Of course if the video tutorial is a how-to video this will not help much, but if you have videos that are all talk and no action this may be a useful tool for you.

As I searched for flv to mp3 file converters I did find several that were free of charge. I downloaded and tried them but was frustrated to find that they all lacked the proper codecs to allow the mp3 to play correctly. If that was not the problem then the tool would not recognize the flv file. Sometimes you get what you pay for in life.

When I found this particular flv to mp3 converter I was very impressed with how easy it was to use as well as how fast it converted my files. It allows you to add multiple files at once, then save them wherever you like. It is very straight forward and does a great job with excellent sound quality.

I immediately converted some videos I had put off watching as they happened to be pretty long and I am always short on time, (you know, the whole do-it-ALL-yourself part). The tool converted 224 megabytes of audio for me while I took a shower, by the time I was done it had been done for a while so I am very happy indeed.

I burned the audios onto a disk and now I can get the knowledge that I paid for as I drive my car wherever I need to go. This is very handy for someone like me and I know if it helps me it will help others as well. The program can be downloaded and used for a few days then you will be asked for a registration code which will be provided upon purchase.
